The beginning of works of Metropol Parasol uncovered visible remains of the Roman period, from Tiberio (30 A.D.) until the VI century, and an Almohad Islamic house of the XII and XIII centuries. Also, this lot was preserved by information of periods that include the middle, modern and contemporary ages.
The Antiquarium has 1.100 square meters of glass membrane which encloses the whole space.
The museum expansion is of almost 5.000 square meters. The contents offered by the archaeological remains are industrial, domestic and town-planning.
An archaeological walk, independent from the museum, of approximately 550 square meters, is defined as the main access of the museum, there you can see the remains which stretch along the big archaeological room. The archaeological room, of approximately 3.300 square meters, is where the archaeological remains which are visualized from the footbridge are located.
