Seville Through Local Eyes
Everything you need to plan the perfect trip, written by Lucía.
Seville is one of those cities that rewards people who go a little deeper — past the queue at the Alcázar, past the tourist menu, into the narrow lanes the map doesn’t name. This guide is built to help you find that version of the city.

Must-See Seville

Real Alcázar Seville
The most extraordinary palace in Spain. Mudéjar courtyards tiled in geometric patterns, royal apartments still used by the Spanish royal family, and gardens that take a full morning to walk properly. This is the one attraction in Seville that justifies the queue — but you shouldn’t queue: book tickets in advance.
Seville Cathedral and Giralda Tower
The world’s largest Gothic cathedral, built on the site of a Moorish mosque whose minaret — the Giralda — still stands as the cathedral’s bell tower. Inside: the tomb of Christopher Columbus and one of the richest collections of altarpieces in Europe. Climb the Giralda ramp and the whole city spreads below you.

About the author
My name is Lucía. I have lived in Seville my whole life.
I started this guide because I kept watching visitors spend three days in the city and leave without having seen the things I consider essential — not because they weren’t looking, but because the standard tourist information points you toward the obvious and leaves the rest unmarked.
Every article on this site is written from the perspective of someone who actually lives here, books here, and eats here. No sponsored itineraries, no copy-pasted facts — just what I would tell a friend.
